The General Election is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Polling places in New Jersey are open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Three Ways to Vote in New Jersey:

1. Vote by Mail
You can apply for a vote-by-mail ballot through the New Jersey Division of Elections.  

2. In Person Early Voting
New Jersey offers in person early voting before Election Day. For the 2026 General Election, the early voting period runs from October 24, 2026 through November 1, 2026.  

3. Vote at Your Polling Place on Election Day
You may vote in person at your assigned polling place on Election Day from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  

Important Vote by Mail Information:

If you vote by mail, you cannot return your completed ballot to your Election Day polling place or to an in person early voting location. Completed ballots must be returned by mail, to your county Board of Elections office, or to an official secure ballot drop box.

The voter registration deadline in New Jersey is 21 days before Election Day.
